The influence of ultra-high temperature


Ultra-high temperature is required during the smelting of stainless steel, that is, often above 1700℃ in AOD and VOD refining furnaces.The temperature increases, which significantly improves the erosion speed of refractory materials, so the ultra-high temperature can lead to severe erosion of refractory materials.Ultra temperature not only reduces slag viscosity and increased solubility, but also seriously affects the following redox reactions: MgO + C + M g + CO-heat, MgO + 2Al=Mg + Al2O-heat, MgO + Si=Mg + SiO-heat, 5MgO + B4C + 5 M g + CO + 2B2O2-heat, 2MgO + SiC=2Mg + SiO + CO-heat.

All of the above reactions are heat absorption reactions.According to the principle of chemical balance, raise the temperature and make the reaction to the right, which causes the consequences like vacuum conditions, that is, at ultra-high temperature, the magnesia carbon brick lining containing aluminum powder, silicon powder and other additives will not have a good use effect, or even worse.Therefore, in the use of refined steel packages, the super high temperature and the time at the high temperature should be controlled.
